Andy Monley And The High Horses
Andy Monley and the High Horses is the new vehicle for songwriter Andy Monley. As the former front man of Jux County, Velveteen Monster, and as a long time guitarist of the Czars, Andy has been making music in Denver for well over 20 years. Being Andy Monley makes it hard to describe my music so take a listen to the tracks and maybe write your own description. The best ones I will use. But I can’t pay you. Did you notice how I changed from 3rd person to 1st person. Andy Monley does that from time to time. I will get it right.
I can only speak for myself but an obvious early influence is Bob Dylan. Later on I would be getting into Led Zeppelin, The Birthday Party, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Robyn Hitchcock, Nino Rota, any soundtracks and now I am starting to like hip-hop, and getting into opera. I enjoy classical music on dark rainy nights. OOH! Oh yeah Mark, and Colin really love ABBA. Good for them!
