MC Mane Rok – a Colorado native and has been making noise on the local scene since the late 90’s, between winning local battles or shows with his previous outfit, Ideal Ideologies. Having captured the attention of Westword music editor at this time for his battle prowess, Mane Rok continually caught mentions in articles involving Hip Hop in Colorado until 2005, when he was invited to play in Westword’s annual Music Showcase, all while not being considered a performing “solo” MC. This year would also see his crew, known as LIFE Crew, nominated as a whole with one of their DJ’s as well-(DJ Thought of Crunk Brothers and Basementalism Radio 1190am.) In 2007, ManeLine would also be nominated to perform-losing to their crew members The Pirate Signal. Another notable feat, Mane Rok was chosen as a finalist in CYpress Hills-BReal’s new label contest looking for new talent.
