DJ Logic
DJ Logic
“The theorem of turntablist as musician has been long proven in the capable hands of DJ LOGIC, whom with jazz as his foundation has become a wax innovator by crossing genres and mixing his sound across the map. As one of the world's most accomplished turntablist’s, DJ LOGIC is widely credited for introducing jazz into the hip - hop realms and is considered by most as a highly respected session musician and an innovative bandleader.

Since his emergence in the early nineties amidst the Bronx hip-hop scene, the New York City based deejay has been amassing a veritable mountain of collaborations ranging from the likes of: MEDESKI MARTIN AND WOOD, CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE, VERNON REID, CHARLIE HUNTER, JACK DeJOHNETTE, JOHN MAYER, BEN HARPER, MOS DEF and THE ROOTS, to name but a few.

These days, DJ LOGIC is focusing on studio endeavors, producing notable projects such as: Re-imagination with jazz piano phenomenon ELDAR ; collaborating with VERNON REID on a project he co-founded called the Yohimbe Brothers ; touring with CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE in support of Live at Tonic ; participating in a side project called SOLESIDE (featuring KYLE HOLLINGSWORTH from STRING CHEESE INCIDENT and SPEECH from ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT) and co-anchoring a rock band with JOHN POPPER (The John Popper Project featuring DJ Logic) . LOGIC’S body of work also includes three highly accomplished solo albums (Zen of Logic; The Anomaly; Presents Project Logic), all released on Ropeadope Records.
Jason Huber
Jason Huber
Jason Huber is an artist in the band Cherub. He is also in Schtompa!
Jason began Schtompa! in early 2009 as an outlet for his love for electronic music. Over the past three years, he has produced in studio and performed under his alter ego at renegade performances at numerous major American music festicals including Bonnaroo, Rothbury, Wakarusa, and Coachella, late night after parties for Pretty Lights, Lotus, Two Fresh, Big Gigantic, and other national touring acts, and shared the stage with EOTO, Alex B, Designers Drugs, Cherub, Zoogma, and many great acts.
CAPYAC
CAPYAC
CAPYAC is a surreal dance act made up of one half swamp baby (P. Sugz), one half agave plant (Potion). To question the origins of the band is to ponder the origin of humanity itself. When founding member Potion stumbled upon the name, half-conscious on his bedroom floor at 3 a.m., it was nonsense, much like the primordial soup from which life on this planet emerged. Soon after, he performed his first show at the 2014 closing party of the now-defunct Wardenclyffe Gallery. That summer, P. Sugz joined the band. From that moment it was a flurry of late night sets in dirty apartments, college co-ops, and a rotation of local venues. The duo began to sculpt a unique sound out of their diverse musical backgrounds. They gained notoriety online after their debut EP Movement Swallows Us in 2015, followed up by releases on Lavish and Crosswalk Records. Their full-length album Headlunge was released June 1st and represents more than a year of collaboration between the two. Reviewed and championed across the world from top HypeMachine blogs in France, Australia, UK, Germany, US and more, the singles "Speedracer", "Talk About" and "Fascination" have accumulated over 1 million plays across Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube. Although CAPYAC's polished releases have propelled them forward, the soul of the band will always be rooted in the improvisatory nature of their live show.
Yak Attack
Yak Attack
"Yak Attack is a live electronica power trio from Portland Oregon. Founded in 2013, the band has experienced steady growth over the past few years and has been building buzz by touring frequently throughout the Pacific Northwest, California, and the Mountain West. The group's music is best described as "organic electronica", using skillful playing, live loops, and tightly constructed songs combined with raw improvisation to build high- energy and uplifting dance music from scratch, where every note is played and recorded live. The band draws on influences from a wide spectrum of electronica, such as house, drum and bass, and breakbeat, along with elements of jam, funk, and jazz. The result is a live show that is musically sophisticated but widely accessible, with a diverse and engaged fanbase that travels to out of town shows and continually returns to see what the band will do in its next live show.
Yak Attack was founded when Dave Dernovsek (keys), a Colorado/New York transplant with a competitive classical piano background, met Rowan Cobb (bass), who was building a name for himself in the Portland live music scene as a founding member of numerous successful touring bands. The two shared an interest in creating a livetronica project - Dave had been experimenting with various loop-based setups for years, and Rowan's prior electronic band, Alpaca!, had just broken up. The two met Nick Werth (drums) at one of the group's early shows. Nick had quickly built his musical reputation from his stellar abilities at the drum set, as well as his family connection to the band Snarky Puppy (his brother Nate plays percussion in that group, and Nick currently plays in Ghost Note, featuring Nate and Sput among other Snarky members). Initially a fan of the band, Nick was touring full time with local legend Scott Pemberton's band, but found time to guest on percussion and xylosynth at various Yak Attack shows, laying down some tracks on the band's first album, Real World Conditions, which was released in 2015. With the departure of the group's original drummer in early 2016, Rowan and Dave asked Nick to take the drum set full time, and the current Yak Attack lineup was born.
Yak Attack has performed at summer festivals such as Treefort Fest, Joshua Tree Music Festival, Guitarfish, Northwest String Summit, Apple Jam, and Contour Music Festival. The band has also established itself as a strong after-party band with capacity late night shows following acts such as Phish, String Cheese Incident, and Sound Tribe Sector 9. They have shared the stage with many established or up and coming acts such as Juno What?, TAUK, Turkuaz, The Magic Beans, Break Science, Funk Hunters, YAMN, Fruition, World's Finest, and Acorn Project. The band continues to ramp up its tour schedule and looks forward to bringing its unique dance party to a venue near you.
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder likes to party. But more than that, Mikey Thunder just so happens to be the party. Thunder spins a genre-blending, bass-driven partyrock, fusing banging electronic beats with funk, hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, swing, reggae and anything else the party may call for on the fly. With 19 years in the game, he's mastered the art of improvisation with an uncanny ability to work with and rework the vibe of the party with precision. If you’re a true connoisseur of the Colorado music scene, you’ve seen Mikey share the stage with any number of your favorite artists- no matter the genre.

It all began for Mikey at the age of 15 when he discovered DJing in Springfield , Mass. Thru friends older brother's record collections and the Hiphop scene in the city. From there he moved up to Burlington Vt. and immersed himself in the diverse musical culture. In the fall of 1999, he relocated to the mountains of Jackson Hole where he was soon kidnapped by Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Stay Human Tour. After opening for Spearhead in Jackson Hole, Thunder was handpicked by Michael Franti to open the rest of the tour, where he mixed beats into their sets, during set break, and scratched with their beatboxer, Radioactive.

After the Spearhead tour Mikey relocated to Boulder and continued to pursue his musical career. At that time Thunder also was an Atari playing stuntman/ DJ in the band Sonar. The band shared the stage with the Wailers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the String Cheese Incident, and played Hightimes Magazine’s SXSW party, and the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2009 Mikey joined the Pretty Lights crew, opened for over 30 shows on their tours and performed cuts on the Making Up a Changing Mind EP, released in 2010. He also has played the sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater runs with PL in 2012/13/14.

Since that time, he has made his presence known in every single facet of the Colorado music industry. Over the years he has shared the stage with an extremely diverse range of musicians, including (but certainly not limited to): Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, The Disco Biscuits, Boombox, Soul Live, Lettuce, The Motet, Michal Menert, Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Bonobo, Z Trip, DJ Qbert, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface killa, Red Man, Juicy J, and Big Boi of Outkast. Additionally, he has been prominently featured on such festivals as Shambhala, Sonic Bloom, Snowball, Global Dance Festival, and many others.

Mikey Thunder’s true talent lies in his versatility. Every Thunder performance presents something familiar in an entirely unfamiliar way, as well as something unfamiliar presented in a way that is immediately recognizable as Thunder.
