Legendary Bronx-bred hip-hop duo Camp Lo burst onto the scene in 1997, when their classic debut album Uptown Saturday Night (and it’s anthemic single “Luchini”) introduced fans to the Lo’s intricate flows and cutting-edge slang editorials. Nearly two decades later, Camp Lo emcees Geechi Suede and Sonny Cheeba are back with Ragtime Hightimes, a brand new album produced by longtime collaborator Ski Beatz. Although he’s worked with the likes of Jay-Z, Mos Def, Curren$y, Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and many more, Ski has always shared a special creative connection with Camp Lo. “Ski is the third member of the Lo,” explains Suede. “Ain’t no end to it..only new beginnings.” Ragtime Hightimes finds Camp Lo and Ski Beatz pushing past boundaries while staying true to their creative vision. “This piece is different ‘cause we were in a different space,” says Suede. “It’s always gonna be us, just different versions of ourselves. We’re exploring different dimensions in visual sound texture.” While much of their classic material was sample-based, the group is now experimenting with live instrumentation more than ever before. “The originality remains,” adds Cheeba. “There are differences in sound, mostly due to the live instruments.” Overall, the result is a singular piece of “time traveling art” that is sure to resonate for years to come. “This album just feels good,” explains Suede. “It’s our favorite way to feel.” Videos for ‘Bright Lights”, “Life I Love”, X-Seminar” and “You” are on rotation now from the new album Ragtime Hightimes, which is available now at most physical and digital outlets. The Black Connection EP featuring the Black Connection trilogy and two new songs “Make Me Dance” and TNT aka Dynamite Love is also available at all digital outlets and streaming service providers.
The Urban Renewal Project
The Urban Renewal Project is a Los Angeles based band that uses instruments of a bygone era to create a signature sound that blurs the boundaries between soul, jazz and hip-hop. The group features a big band horn section, a singer and a rapper who perform upbeat originals and fresh interpretations of everything from jazz standards to recent hits. They've toured nationally from New York's Rockwood Music Hall to the San Jose Jazz Summerfest, and their recordings have received airplay on tastemaking radio stations across the country, including KCRW–Santa Monica and WDCB–Chicago.
I was born in Mesa, Arizona and moved to Idaho at a young age. Noise making has always been a hobby of mine, and I finally decided to get serious about it. I perform at many of the local venues in and around Sandpoint and am always looking for new places to perform. Can't wait for the future.
Wonderlic is a funky rock band from Denver that has been playing along the Colorado front range for the past 6 years. The lineup consists of an 8-string electric mandolin, guitar, drums and bass. Whether you like to dance or if you'd rather rock, Wonderlic delivers an entertaining show that appeals to music lovers of all ages.
Formed in November 2016, Mammoth Water is a 2 piece Electro Funk and Rock Fusion band based out of Denver, Colorado. The band's current line-up consists of Drums/Producer (Jason Ahlquist) Guitar (Dylan Tuthill).
Each band member has brought their own styles and influences to the table to help facilitate a sound that is fresh and distinctively unique. Mammoth Water merges together psychedelic electronic funk music with live drums and ripping guitar to create a brand new genre of music; Psychedelic Electronic Funk-Rock. Mammoth Water is an act guaranteed to get the music moving and people dancing. Think Griz meets Phish.
