Jonah Wisneski
As a strong pressence in Colorado, Jonah Wisneski has been contributing to Denver's burgeoning music scene for the last few years. After spending time as a session player, touring/recording/playing with various musical acts in Colorado, Jonah is finally letting his own voice be heard with a new band and a new record.

A guitarist/singer/composer, Jonah Wisneski spent the last few years working on his own music in between his time spent with other bands. Enlisting close friends (Colorado musical mainstays: The Fox Street All-Stars and Kinetix) to join him in the studio, it was time to work out the sound he was hearing in his head.

"I entered the studio a while back with a batch of songs, and ideas how they would be arranged. Josh Fairman (Kinetix) signed on to produce/engineer/play on the record, and he was pivotal in helping this come together. From there,Fox Street All Stars joined in, and were playing on songs until we had reached a point where everyone could feel good about the sounds we were getting. It kind of snowballed when musicians like Nate Barnes (drums) of Rose Hill Drive, and Bill McKay (Piano) of Leftover Salmon contributed. The results were exactly what I was hoping for."

Now, with a record on the way, the live band has found it's stride playing rhythm & blues soaked rock, rooted with sounds of Americana and more. The approach is to blend contemporary and classic ideas into a sound that is uniquely its own, yet newly familiar.

"I want the focus to be on the songs. I've got a great band that can put on a great live show, but I want the songs to be great in any environment, whether it's live or on your stereo."

The result, is a debut record due this summer. Hours of recording culled down to a cohesive sound that represents only the tip of the iceberg. Featuring members of Leftover Salmon, Rose Hill Drive, Kinetix and Fox Street All Stars, the record will showcase some of the country's best musicians. With numerous shows on the horizon, the future is looking bright.
