Sean Price
Sean Price
Along with his partner Rock, Sean Price (A.K.A. Ruck) dropped two impressive LP’s as the duo Heltah Skeltah; their 1996 debut Nocturnal (which included the indelible “Leflaur Leflah Eshkoshka”) and their 1998 follow-up Magnum Force. Sean is also a core member of the legendary Boot Camp Clik collective and has been a key and stand out contributor to all three of their collaborative releases; 1997’s For The People, 2002’s The Chosen Few and 2006’s The Last Stand. Not to be outdone, Sean proved he was more then up to the task as a solo-artist as well, as he contributed one of 2005’s most critically acclaimed and talked about LP’s with his solo-debut Monkey Barz, which garnished multiple accolades for Sean, including; being named Source Magazine’s Indie LP of the year, being placed on Urb Magazine’s “Hot 100 list” inclusion in the Village Voice’s yearly “Pazz And Jop” poll, 2005 Indie LP of the year from Allhiphop.com and Indie LP of the year nods from Hiphopsite.com, Hiphopdx.com, Soundslam.com, MVremix.com and Sixshot.com. The incessant clamoring and buzz for Sean’s Price’s sophomore solo-LP, Jesus Price Supastar, has come full-circle, as Sean released Jesus Price Supastar on 1-30-07 courtesy of Duckdown Records. Hiphop purists have long recognized and appreciated Sean’s commanding delivery, powerful voice and clever verses and all of those attributes are on full-display with Jesus Price Supastar. Many of the same beat makers that helped shape Monkey Barz were back on board to craft another classic LP. Little Brother’s 9th Wonder chips in five tracks and Justus League’s Khrysis also returns to put his stamp on three tracks. Also, contributing production are G-Unit’s Ill Mind, MoSS, Tommy Tee and PF Cuttin. While fans will have to wait a bit longer for another Heltah Skeltah LP (which is in the works), Rock joins Sean Price on “P-Body” and “Church,” while BCC’s core members Buckshot (who rhymes alongside Sadat X on “Da God”) and Smif N Wessun’s Steele also make appearances. Furthermore, Little Brother’s Phonte guests on “Let It Be Known.” Sean Price is not wasting any of his current momentum. Look out for his new mixtape, “Master P,” in stores this summer. Sean Price is also scheduled to release an LP with Guilty Simpson (Stones Throw) entirely produced by Black Milk (Fat Beats) in 2008. The “Random Acts” are sure bring serious heat.
Skyzoo
Skyzoo
Growing up just a block away from The Notorious B.I.G., watching him go from local kid to rap superstar, Skyzoo couldn't help but dream big.

He started making mixtapes in 2002, and in 2005, through a mutual friend, was introduced to Grammy-winning producer 9th Wonder. The North Carolina native was won over by the upstart MC's talents, and readily sent him beats to record over—which would soon become 2006's Cloud 9: The Three Day High, a mixtape that launched Sky into hip-hop's consciousness. His deft wordplay, confident delivery, and vivid imagery were all on display. Fans continued to flock following Cornerstore Classic in 2007 and 2009's Power of Words, each mixtape again showcasing Sky's skillset as a hood poet.

It was September 2009's The Salvation, though, released through Jamla/Duck Down, that solidified the rhymeslinger into an elite class. “It all was leading up to The Salvation,” he says. “That was the album I had been planning since I was nine years old.” Landing at No. 14 on the Billboard Top 200 charts, the critically acclaimed release stood on a cohesive and engaging sincerity that explains the sizable fanbase Sky has cultivated.

Still riding the wave of his debut, Sky returned in July 2010 with Live From the Tapedeck, an album produced entirely by !llmind. The summer of 2011 brought The Great Debater, a free mixtape of album-quality material that Sky treated his fans to as a follow up to two retail releases.

The fanbase Skyzoo has been able to acquire stretches from the street to the workplace to high places, leading to memorable placements: “Popularity” was featured on the seventh season of the HBO hit Entourage; his music was featured in video games NBA2K11 and NBA2K12 (the first artist to be included in the franchise twice), as well as Grand Theft Auto 4: Lost and the Damned; his music has also set the tone for ESPN’s KIA NBA Shootaround; and the rapper has a longstanding relationship with Brand Jordan.

Skyzoo has toured with Ghostface Killah, Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, Sean Price, and Buckshot, as well as internationally in places like China. He’s collaborated with other respected artists including Pete Rock, Hi-Tek, Jake One, Flo-Rida, Maino, Little Brother, EPMD, N.O.R.E, Wale, Talib Kweli, Ace Hood, Sean Price, and Don Cannon.

With his highly anticipated album Dream Deferred slated for a 2012 release, Skyzoo is focused on continuing to become the ultimate artist, able to make music with a lasting impact.

Listeners can identify with his story; they can see the many sides of themselves in him. They play “For What It's Worth” on their way to a dead-end job. They bump “Necessary Evils” as they hustle. They blare “Speakers On Blast” when they party. No matter the mood, season, or circumstance, Skyzoo offers music to live to.
Shae Money
Shae Money
Born and raised in the heart of Denver, Colorado, Shae Money is a young, up and coming producer with a flawless sound and a knack for making dope beats. Beginning at age 12, the hip-hop fiend spent countless hours dwelling in his mother’s basement sampling records on his MPC and perfecting his unique sound. After years of scrutinizing his music, Shae spent the entire 2012 year compiling his first project. On May 5th, 2012 Shae Money dropped “Turn It Up,” the premiere single from his debut album FRE3STYLE, featuring the likes of Black Milk, Statik Selektah, and Grammy award winning producer Focus… .
Aporia
Aporia
Consisting of emcee/producer Dhymes and emcee/producer Knowledge Thyself, Aporia came together in late 2012 with clear intentions: revive the integrity of hip-hop, and of the human race. In a world of 360 deals, pay to play artists, and hyped materialism, Dhymes and Knowledge Thyself combat political illusions as musical protrusions, standing out in the independent music world. Through witty philosophical references and examples of self awareness, Aporia strategically produces it’s beats and rhymes with the intention of awakening the divine intelligence in all of us, from hip-hop heads to your grandparents in bed. Aporia is Greek for the knowledge of ones own ignorance, so their mind bending lyrical progression and smooth golden age beats are not for the faint of heart. With tracks like Ready or Not, and Story of Aporia, the two masters of creations have successfully proved their dominance over lies, artificial fillers, and Genetically Modified Emcees, ready to move in and cultivate an audience ready for the truth. Their music can be found through Facebook at:

The Fly Doctors
The Fly Doctors, comprised of A.Will, Tino, Rolos, and 2 ez are an up and coming team of solo artists making noise in the Northern Colorado area. Matching witty lyrics with an attractive positive message and using an array of smooth laid back beats gives them a unique sound appealing to the older listener as well as the younger hip hop heads. Keep an ear open for these four featured on their debut collaboration mixtape "The Prequel" to be released fall of 2013.
