During the Royal Family Ball at Cervantes’ on May 14th & 15th Soulive will be performing songs from their forthcoming Beatles tribute record, Rubber Soulive.
The band debuted Rubber Soulive this past Halloween in Washington, DC and Charlotte, NC. They have done a few special sets of entirely Beatles tunes at sold out shows in Boston, Burlington and, most recently, in New Orleans during their annual trek to Jazzfest. We are very excited for Soulive to bring these special sets to Cervantes!
Longtime fans MUST NOT MISS THESE SHOWS. The vibe will be insane.
Rubber Soulive was recorded at Alan’s Play On Brother Studios in Western Massachusetts this past fall and will be released later this year on Royal Family Records. The only place to get a copy of Rubber Soulive now is at one of their shows. Period.
This is the first time Soulive has recorded and performed an entire set of covers. While they have delved into the catalogs of heros like James Brown and Stevie Wonder, these instrumental covers of Beatles songs are uniquely timeless and engaging.
