Famed Russian rocker, Alexei Gorshenev, frontman for the group Kukryniksy, is making his U.S. debut in Denver, Colorado, the home state of his American co-vocalist Stephanie Starr.
Together, Gorshenev and Starr conceived and launched the band K Republic, the English-language spin-off of Kukryniksy. The duo spent part of the year writing and recording their new album, “All Those Things I Left Behind” in Colorado Springs, so wanted to debut the album in Colorado.
K Republic is the only joint Russian-American rock band in the world and their new project has been met with acclaim in Eastern Europe. Starr spent February in Saint-Petersburg, Russia polishing the new album and working on the material with Gorshenev and the rest of the band.
They will be unveiling material from their new album at their live acoustic performance at the Cervantes’ Other Side in Denver on September 23rd. Doors open at 7pm. Gorshenev and Starr will go onstage at 8pm.
