The Holdup is a California based Reggae band with heavy influences in the genres of R&B and Hip Hop. Since releasing their debut album,Stay Gold, the band has garnered a great deal of commercial success and moved on to sell tens of thousands of records nationwide. Stay Golddebuted at #1 on the iTunes Reggae charts and the single “Good Times” was on rotation at a large numberof radio stationsacross San Francisco and the greater Bay Area. Every album from The Holdup since then has found the band reaching a new milestone. From 2010’s Confidence leading the band to receiveiTunes’ Best New Reggae Artist of 2010 award, to 2011’sStillGold peakingat #2 on the Billboardreggae chart.Their heavyurban appeal has even led to featureson Mac Miller’s “MostDope” blog and 2 Chainz’ “Most Expensivest Shit” video series presented by GQ. The band’s latest release, Leaves In The Pool was met with heavy acclaim and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Reggae chart. Following the release, The Holdup have found themselves touring more in 2017 than ever before and continue to hit the road while putting out singles that challenge you to find a better song in their discography. Theband first began performing their songs at local venues around San Jose and afan base quickly developed for their catchy multi-genre delivery. The success of their live show and the growing popularity aroundradio play found them performingand touringwith a number of amazing artists. From Reggae mainstays like Collie Buddz andSteel Pulse, to the more mainstream side of things with Rebelution, Dirty Heads and Iration. They’ve even shared stages with the likes of 2 Chainz and Rae Sremmurd.

Tempe, Arizona based, Katastro was formed in 2007 by vocalist, Andy Chaves drummer, Andrew Stravers and guitarist, Tanner Riccio. Later on, bassist Ryan Weddle joined the band to complete the current line up. The band gained notoriety by creatively blending elements of rock, funk, blues and hip hop.

Since their inception, the band has continued to take the local scene by storm and quickly broke into the national circuit by performing with such acts as 311, Awolnation, Dirty Heads, New Politics, Tomorrows Bad Seeds, Pacific Dub and Passafire.

Most recently, Katastro has shared the stage with Rebelution at the Tempe Beach Park St. Patrick’s Day Festival, attracting more than 12,000 attendees. The band then spent this summer touring with Iration, The Green, Pepper and Dirty Heads.

Katastro’s first release was their 2007 EP entitled, “The Wonderful Daze” and was followed up by their 2008 release, “The Facts.” In 2009, the band put out their first full length album called, “Poking Holes in A Pattern” which was produced by Bob Hoag (The Ataris, The Format, Gin Blossoms). In October of 2011, Katastro released their 4th studio album entitled “Gentle Predator.”

The boys from the Valley of the Sun have big plans on the horizon. Their next Studio EP “No Mud No Lotus” is scheduled to be released Fall of 2014, with a follow up Full Length due out later next year.
