Bill McKay began his musical journey at the age of six, taking classical piano lessons and singing in a church choir as a boy soprano. In high school, he studied jazz theory and ear training, and sang in the choir and barbershop group, touring in England, Wales, and Amsterdam. Bill began playing rock and roll in bars and clubs at the age of 16 with various bands.
Moving to Colorado in 1987 to attend Colorado College, Bill played with the band The Circle while studying world music ( including East Indian, African, and Native American music ). He also worked with the dance department, accompanying modern dance classes and composing a thesis around choreography and music. After graduating in 1991 with a political science degree, Bill moved to Boulder and began playing with Band Du Jour
The Soul 'n Roll outfit Band Du Jour recorded and toured extensively from 1990-1995, including a two month DOD tour to South Korea, Japan, and Okinawa. Kory Montgomery Band
Kory Montgomery Band
Based out of Fayetteville, AR, the members of The Kory Montgomery Band have been spreading their name and reputation across the country now for 6 years, and still continue to gain new popularity with their solid grooves, intense solos, and demanding lyrics. Over the past years KMB has played numerous festivals and events throughout the country including the opportunities to open for BB King, on multiple occasions, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Earth Wind & Fire, JJ Grey & Mofro, Buddy Guy, Robert Randolph, Hubert Sumlin, The North Mississippi All Stars and many other national acts.
Kory Montgomery got an early start in the music business.

Now at age 22, Kory releases his first full length CD of his music. The new album was recorded at Winterwood Studios with Eric Schabacker at the helm as sound engineer; LA musician Mike Officer as co-producer and some of the best up and coming musicians from Arkansas to LA collaborating. The recording is made of 8 original tunes written and co-written by Montgomery, and one cover. Kory’s guitar and vocals steer the music through slow grooves, to funky hard driving rock. With a skanky sound that can only be described as their own; it seems to be only a matter of time before national success unfolds.
