Esseks
Esseks
Esseks (Sam Eckstein) is a Brooklyn based producer and visual artist. His music ranges all the bass-centric genres with a focus on the off-kilter. The diverse elements of his music are tied together with Esseks’ subtle but instantly recognizable sound. It is dark but in a playful sense. Cartoon Villain music you could say. He has built up a large catalog of music since his first release in 2012 and put out releases with Wakaan (AZ), Gravitas Recordings (TX), Foundations Recordings (CA), and Smokers Cough (NY) along with a number of self releases and collaborations with artists like Yheti, Space Jesus, GDP.
Champagne Drip
Champagne Drip
Champagne Drip, the newest musical incarnation of Los Angeles-based producer Sam Pool, was born out of a philosophy that innovation springs from inspiration. Pool had carved out a unique place for himself in the bass music community; performing under the moniker of SPL for over 10 years and releasing drum & bass, dubstep, and trap-oriented music on respected labels such as Barcode, Tech Itch, Evol Intent, Sub Human, Rottunn, and SMOG Recordings. SPL’s music was fully immersed in sound design, a musical landscape comprised of melodic, dark, and refined touches.
By the Summer of 2014, Pool came to the realization that he had pushed the SPL project to its sonic boundaries and in order to evolve musically, he would need a new project to explore lighter textures and richer melodies. Rooted in jungle and bass music and built around elements of blippy 8-bit sounds, arpeggios, and lush 80s synths, Champagne Drip launched as a decidedly tropical and uplifting sounding project. Operating at first in anonymity, Champagne Drip made a big splash thru the release of official remixes of Bassnectar (Amorphous Music) and Elliphant (Mad Decent). Shortly thereafter, he released his debut EP “Radio Bikini” on Mad Decent in September of 2014.
Over the first year of the project’s history, press outlets were fascinated with the unique sound, but also with uncovering the identity of the secretive producer behind the music. “Radio Bikini” was subsequently remixed by electronic upstarts Big Wild, Lazerdisk, Mayhem, and Son of Kick and released in the Spring of 2015 as “Remix Bikini”. In the Fall of 2015, Champagne Drip released his 2nd EP for Mad Decent, “Journey Into The Champagne Sea”. Whereas his first EP explored more overtly tropical overtones, “Journey” went into deeper and darker musical territory.
After spending one full year refining his sound in the studio, he finally revealed himself as the former SPL in 2016; performing across the US at such festivals as Mysteryland, WTFest?, Imagine, Enchanted Forest, and Lights All Night. Building up anticipation for his next original recordings, Champagne Drip released the stand alone single “Open Your Eyes”, which was featured on the official Bernie Sanders Presidential campaign fundraising compilation “Rave4Bernie”. Official remixes for Grandtheft (Mad Decent), Cardinox (Warner Brothers), and Dillon Francis & NGHTMRE (Mad Decent) followed.
Champagne Drip capped off an already busy 2016 with the release of two new EPs; “Poseidon” via Quality Goods Records and “Of Course I Still Love You” via Saturate Records. Official remixes for Zeds Dead & Diplo, UZ, and DAWN all saw early 2017 releases. Champagne Drip is set to have his biggest year yet in 2017, with multiple EPs scheduled for release on Deadbeats Records as well as forthcoming remixes for 12th Planet and Mayhem, which are due for Summer releases.
Linear Symmetry
Linear Symmetry
Chris Story (Keyboards) and Andy Alback (Drums) combined forces in 2013 to form the live-electronica group Linear Symmetry. The duo from Omaha has been on a direct path since their inception and continue to progress to new heights with every performance. They have quickly become known for their tight, energetic live shows which feature moving audible dynamics in the form of organic dance music. Pair this with their brilliant visual package and it’s no surprise they have become festival favorites and late night staples.
After just one experience with this duo, it is clear there is no lack of symmetry between Chris and Ando. The two work together on stage and in studio with a common goal to send the listener on a sonic journey through their ever expanding catalogue of original dance music. Due to their unrestricted sound and raucous live show, they have the unique capability to perform for both rock and electronic audiences. Linear Symmetry has performed alongside EOTO, Shpongle and Twiddle; while also packing dance floors at major festivals such as Dancefestopia and BloomTown. Their linear path to new heights is not slowing, so be on the ready to get down when Linear Symmetry arrives in your area in 2015 and beyond. #LSduo #YearofLinear
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder likes to party. But more than that, Mikey Thunder just so happens to be the party. Thunder spins a genre-blending, bass-driven partyrock, fusing banging electronic beats with funk, hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, swing, reggae and anything else the party may call for on the fly. With 19 years in the game, he's mastered the art of improvisation with an uncanny ability to work with and rework the vibe of the party with precision. If you’re a true connoisseur of the Colorado music scene, you’ve seen Mikey share the stage with any number of your favorite artists- no matter the genre.

It all began for Mikey at the age of 15 when he discovered DJing in Springfield , Mass. Thru friends older brother's record collections and the Hiphop scene in the city. From there he moved up to Burlington Vt. and immersed himself in the diverse musical culture. In the fall of 1999, he relocated to the mountains of Jackson Hole where he was soon kidnapped by Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Stay Human Tour. After opening for Spearhead in Jackson Hole, Thunder was handpicked by Michael Franti to open the rest of the tour, where he mixed beats into their sets, during set break, and scratched with their beatboxer, Radioactive.

After the Spearhead tour Mikey relocated to Boulder and continued to pursue his musical career. At that time Thunder also was an Atari playing stuntman/ DJ in the band Sonar. The band shared the stage with the Wailers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the String Cheese Incident, and played Hightimes Magazine’s SXSW party, and the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2009 Mikey joined the Pretty Lights crew, opened for over 30 shows on their tours and performed cuts on the Making Up a Changing Mind EP, released in 2010. He also has played the sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater runs with PL in 2012/13/14.

Since that time, he has made his presence known in every single facet of the Colorado music industry. Over the years he has shared the stage with an extremely diverse range of musicians, including (but certainly not limited to): Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, The Disco Biscuits, Boombox, Soul Live, Lettuce, The Motet, Michal Menert, Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Bonobo, Z Trip, DJ Qbert, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface killa, Red Man, Juicy J, and Big Boi of Outkast. Additionally, he has been prominently featured on such festivals as Shambhala, Sonic Bloom, Snowball, Global Dance Festival, and many others.

Mikey Thunder’s true talent lies in his versatility. Every Thunder performance presents something familiar in an entirely unfamiliar way, as well as something unfamiliar presented in a way that is immediately recognizable as Thunder.
