SuperVision
SuperVision
When drawing from the right pool of inspiration, sometimes the right mixture of sounds can come together and make something new. Possibly something hard to put one name on. Today people like to jump on the next genre bandwagon, and intentionally make music that fits one genre. SuperVision is not about one sound. Instead it is about many sounds brought together with an approach that delivers a stylistic sound design that isn't classified with one or two words. It is a sound that you can count on evolving without departing from what makes it unique.

The sounds created and played by SuperVision are the works of Richard Blake Hansen. With a DJ career spanning over 12 years and 1000+ gigs, his place in the music industry has been found. Within a couple of years of DJing he was cutting his teeth in music production. He moved to Fort Collins Colorado in 2002 and met Derek Vincent Smith and Michal Menert. After studying production and learning from the best, he went on to audio engineering school. He has enjoyed sharing the stage with such well known acts as Pretty Lights, Michal Menert, DJ AM, Jazzy Jeff, Public Enemy, DJ Craze, Klever, DJ Skribble, Steve Aoki, Tommie Sunshine, Quest Love, Classixx, La Riots, Villains, RJD2, and Ghostland Observatory.. to name a few. Now SuperVision has arrived.
Chris Karns
Chris Karns
2013 Vh1 Master of the Mix Finalist ~ 2011 DMC USA & World Champion ~ 3x Red Bull Thre3style Winner ~ Few artists who identify as a producer and DJ have as impressive a resume as Chris Karns. Trusted by some of the biggest names in music to set the stage on fire with his blazing turntable skills, Karns is following up a World DMC Championship title with a starring role on VH1's "Master of the Mix" and a packed schedule of party rocking. Karns has enjoyed an undeniable reputation long-sealed by his on stage and in studio work with some industry heavyweights like Yelawolf, Bun B., Kid Rock, Paul Wall, Bassnectar and Travis Barker. This is not a man who gets on iTunes, downloads a few hits and calls it a day, but rather an accomplished master of his craft.

At a time when the word "DJ" no longer carries with it the weight of a once vibrant vinyl culture, it's a relief there are passionate and talented artists like Chris. Since his early days inspired by his musician father and learning to scratch on a $20 belt-drive turntable, he's rocked countless overseas and American tours, and has played everywhere from Los Angeles to New York, London to Tokyo, and everywhere in between. Since being honored with the highest possible battle title and becoming DMC World Champion, Karns is now known as one of the fastest scratchers and beat jugglers in the game, incorporating drum machines and other components into sets stacked with raw energy. When he's in front of insatiable crowds weaving together a versatile set of hip-hop, house, trap and more, Karns obviously a natural entertainer who's set the bar high for himself and his contemporaries.
Valerie Molano
Valerie Molano
Valerie Molano, aka DigitalLoveJoint, brings a unique brand of low end madness to the decks. This cross genre OG is full of dance floor surprises, and has transformed into a chameleon selectress. In 2001, Valerie fell for the rave scene, started buying trance, techno and house records and played many underground raves and club parties throughout the San Antonio and Austin Texas area.

In 2009 she moved to New York City and was exposed to and inspired by some of the world’s dopest underground parties, fine tuning her sound. Valerie became heavily addicted to the underground bass scene on the East Coast and in 2010 started hittin’ the world wide web weekly with D&B, breaks, jungle, glitch hop and more on genxflow.fm. Around the same time, Valerie became a resident for Konkrete Jungle, the longest running Jungle and Drum&Bass night on the planet, and droppin breaks, glitch hop, house, dubstep, and dnb all around Manhattan and Brooklyn, at some of New York’s most respected and long time running venues, such as Sullivan Room, Club Love and many more.

In 2013 she set off a weekly underground party called VIBeRATION at Karma Lounge and Hookah bar in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Her and her crew managed to stuff in as many subs and bass heads as possible, creating a VIBeRANT buzz in the underground bass scene.

By 2014 she was spending much time in the lovely state of Colorado, intrigued by the scenery and the way of life there. Fast forward to present day: Valerie has planted her bass bum in the one of the nations fastest growing, and green friendliest cities, Denver, where she continues to bring underground bass sounds every month to one of Denver’s freshest venues, The Black Box!
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder
Mikey Thunder likes to party. But more than that, Mikey Thunder just so happens to be the party. Thunder spins a genre-blending, bass-driven partyrock, fusing banging electronic beats with funk, hip-hop, soul, jazz, blues, swing, reggae and anything else the party may call for on the fly. With 19 years in the game, he's mastered the art of improvisation with an uncanny ability to work with and rework the vibe of the party with precision. If you’re a true connoisseur of the Colorado music scene, you’ve seen Mikey share the stage with any number of your favorite artists- no matter the genre.

It all began for Mikey at the age of 15 when he discovered DJing in Springfield , Mass. Thru friends older brother's record collections and the Hiphop scene in the city. From there he moved up to Burlington Vt. and immersed himself in the diverse musical culture. In the fall of 1999, he relocated to the mountains of Jackson Hole where he was soon kidnapped by Michael Franti and Spearhead for the Stay Human Tour. After opening for Spearhead in Jackson Hole, Thunder was handpicked by Michael Franti to open the rest of the tour, where he mixed beats into their sets, during set break, and scratched with their beatboxer, Radioactive.

After the Spearhead tour Mikey relocated to Boulder and continued to pursue his musical career. At that time Thunder also was an Atari playing stuntman/ DJ in the band Sonar. The band shared the stage with the Wailers at the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, the String Cheese Incident, and played Hightimes Magazine’s SXSW party, and the Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. In the fall of 2009 Mikey joined the Pretty Lights crew, opened for over 30 shows on their tours and performed cuts on the Making Up a Changing Mind EP, released in 2010. He also has played the sold out Red Rocks Amphitheater runs with PL in 2012/13/14.

Since that time, he has made his presence known in every single facet of the Colorado music industry. Over the years he has shared the stage with an extremely diverse range of musicians, including (but certainly not limited to): Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, The Disco Biscuits, Boombox, Soul Live, Lettuce, The Motet, Michal Menert, Nightmares on Wax, Mr. Scruff, DJ Krush, Bonobo, Z Trip, DJ Qbert, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, Jurassic 5, Slick Rick, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface killa, Red Man, Juicy J, and Big Boi of Outkast. Additionally, he has been prominently featured on such festivals as Shambhala, Sonic Bloom, Snowball, Global Dance Festival, and many others.

Mikey Thunder’s true talent lies in his versatility. Every Thunder performance presents something familiar in an entirely unfamiliar way, as well as something unfamiliar presented in a way that is immediately recognizable as Thunder.
