Project 432
Project 432
Project 432...what does that even mean??? When you first hear the name, for a second it invokes images of Area 51 in the mind, or possibly some secret government experiments the C.I.A. is conducting on some poor souls turned lab rats.
Luckily for all of US, Project 432 has a much more benevolent mission that they intend to take worldwide. This Denver based band is creating a buzz and hitting the ground running already booking shows from Austin to L.A., bringing a brand new sound carrying an explosively dynamic range of grooves & vibrations.
Mixing a variation of styles, they draw you in with their steady soothing heartbeat created by their hip hop/funk sound and the rock drive behind their drummer/bass combination. They ground you with some fresh fatty dub as well as some funky grooves that'll get your entire body moving. The guitar and vocals will take you over with resounding elements in blues, hip hop, rock and soul music, screaming in moments, crying in others, and somehow carrying that happy, slinky, snapback skanky reggae flavor we love so much. With the keys bringing out beautiful bright tones, and in moments the spacy sounds that take us to celestial places as well as more subtle sub base and dub vibrations, the beauty of this cosmic creation is something unlike anything being done, and the fascinating part is the meaning of the very name.
Why 432??? Well, long story short, everything vibrates at a certain frequency range and 432hz is the perfect and actual range at which water, life, the earth as well as all elements are whole and centered and it is how we are all connected and aligned properly. Originally music was played and listened to at 432hz, and along the line it was changed to 440hz and caused our minds to come out of alignment, our vibrational frequency, our way of thinking, our pace and our natural rhythm in life altogether.
Project 432 tunes to 432hz as well as writes a message that tells a story of the hearts of the band members as well as the many stories that we all live out in this epic journey we walk out called life. They intend to impact the hearts of the masses literally healing people's minds and spirit by causing them to contemplate, consider, reconsider, and simply rock out and love the moment they are experiencing as they listen to the healing, grooving, and enchanting sounds that realign them with life.
Arise Roots
Arise Roots
The passion to create a unique, roots reggae band is what brought the members of Arise Roots together. Hailing out of Los Angeles, California, Arise Roots was formed in 2010, however, it seemed as though these brothers were eventually destined to cross paths. Each member had been performing in various reggae bands throughout Southern California and backing various reggae legends coming into town. However, drummer Ron Montoya decided to form what he considered to be the next powerhouse reggae band.

After searching for several years and filtering through numerous musicians, Arise Roots was finally formed. Teaming up with heavy bassist Rudy Covarubias and keyboard/vocals specialist Todd Johnson, a tight rhythm section served as the driving foundation. Soon after, lead vocalist Karim Isreal was added providing his soulful, organic, and powerful voice. Finally, guitarist Robert Sotelo joined the group adding the finesse and authenticity needed for this original sound.

The goal: to create a fresh reggae sound with a modern feel that appeals to all ages and races, but one that doesn’t compromise the true feel of roots reggae. Anybody who has had the opportunity to witness an Arise Roots show understands the powerful sound and positive vibration that they produce. Always paying homage to past reggae legends, Arise Roots’ sound is influenced by such artists as The Heptones, Israel Vibration, The Wailing Souls, Black Uhuru, Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs, Mighty Diamonds, Alton Ellis, Barrington Levy, Burning Spear, Bob Marley and The Wailers, The Skatalites, Alton Ellis, Sizzla, and Midnite. In addition, Arise Roots has had the opportunity to share the stage with such artists as Barrington Levy, Michael Rose, Sister Carol, Big Youth, Midnite, The Meditations, Kymani Marley, Gramps Morgan, Dennis Al Capone, Pappa Michigan, Mad Lion, Gondwana and even hip hop heavy weights Public Enemy.

Ufer
Ufer
Üfer is a local band from Denver, Colorado. The band is compiled of River Loughran (lead guitar/vocals), Alex Hawley (guitar/effects), Max Shoffner (Bass), and Collin McNellis (Drums); along with live painting by Russel Hunchar.

The band was first formed in Fall of 2014 by Collin, Max, River and Russell. Üfer has always been about giving reggae/hip-hop inspired music & art to the Denver community. In the beginning, the band was playing covers of Sublime, The Gorillaz & Eminem while Russell painted live.

Over the course of 2015 Üfer began writing some original material, and eventually Alex was added to the band to provide a more full reggae sound. In November of 2015, Üfer released their debut EP: The Nic Moorman Experience. The group spent all of 2016 playing covers and originals throughout Colorado, with the goal of developing their sound.

At the beginning of 2017, Üfer decided that it was time to take their new sound back to the recording studio. Having spent the first half of the year writing and recording, Üfer is thrilled to get back to playing live shows as they prepare for the release of their first full-length album in late 2017.
