Rob Compa
Rob Compa
Dopapod guitarist/vocalist Rob Compa began playing guitar at the ripe age of twelve. His earliest influence came from hearing his father, Larry, play acoustic guitar. After teaching himself the riff to “Wipeout” and playing the same lick for about four months, Rob’s parents saw something and figured they’d better get him learning some more riffs! Before long he was enrolled in lessons and addicted to guitar. By his late teens, Rob was cutting his teeth with local bands around Rochester, NY and taking music classes in jazz improvisation and music theory at the local college. He credits sitting in with local groups The Niche and The Earthtones as helping shape his perspective both as a musician and a person. At the age of 19, Rob began attending Berklee College of Music In Boston, MA. He studied with a handful of amazing teachers such as Bruce Bartlett, David Tronzo, John Wilkins, and Kevin Barry. After 4 semesters and his pockets stuffed with the wisdom instilled from Berklee, Rob left school and basically said yes to every gig that was offered to him.

Envy Alo
Envy Alo
Born in the foothills of Boulder, CO in the fall of 2015, Envy Alo has quickly created a unique signature sound built on an array of diverse influences ranging from old school organ-trio jazz/funk to newer, heavier rock and fusion stylings.

Envy Alo is Aaron Pettine, Tyler Gwynn, and Kevin Hinder. Aaron and Tyler have been performing for years locally in a variety of Boulder bands including Booster and Tenth Mountain Division, respectively. Kevin recently transplanted to Boulder from the Baltimore, MD area, performing in a number of bands in MD and VA over the years.

Aaron and Kevin met in college, and shared a mutual appreciation for the diverse styles of music each enjoyed, and linked up with Tyler after hearing the thunderous drumming of the TMD driving force. After a few jam sessions the three had an undeniable chemistry, and quickly had a nucleus of original songs crafted. With numerous upcoming gigs throughout the front range, stay tuned as this group continues to evolve and develop into a crazed funkadelic dance party for your eardrums.
King Friday The 13th
King Friday The 13th
KingFriday the 13th is a 4-piece exploratory jam rock group out of Denver and Longmont, CO. On drums, Jason Van Kleeck brings a serious groove to the table, drawing influences from Chris Adler to Dennis Chambers. He provides a solid backbone to each jam with his pocket, and is the ever-present anchor to the music. His partner in crime is bassist Zach Martin. Zach was brought up by two classical working musicians in Rhode Island orchestras, and has been playing in various outfits all his life. His musical relationship with Jason provides the base layer for thoughtful, tactfully-constructed improvisation. Ryley Wharton is the death punch of the band. His searing, razor tone is pulled from a strong (and somewhat creepy) Frank Zappa influence. His lead playing stands out and offers incredible peaks and valleys for each piece. Davey Jones plays rhythm guitar and provides vocals. He writes many of the lyrics, set to Ryley’s compositions. He is also stunningly handsome and may blind people if stared at directly for too long.
