Organ freeman will not be performing tonight due to circumstances beyond their control. In their place we have Tricycles featuring all members of Cycles headlining with support from Philthy and The O'My's. Refunds for tonight's show are available at the point of purchase. Organ Freeman does plan to reschedule to perform again in Denver in 2019, stay tuned for that announce.

$1 of every ticket purchased tonight will go towards paying the medical bills of a dear friend's mom, Denise Cenedella, who is a long time Cycles supporter and is currently going through treatment for pancreatic cancer.

CYCLES:
Cycles epitomize the power-trio format with ripping guitar, fat bass grooves played out through furious slapping, and dynamic drum beats flowing over intricate tempo changes. Each member wields a unique take on their instrument that when played together, forms a truly fresh and cohesive sound. Patrick Harvey commands the guitar with speed and precision reminiscent of Jimmy Herring while using his loop pedal virtually as its own instrument, a skill unique only to him. Michael Wood has subtly forged a drum style that showcases his rare ability to mashup funky hip-hop beats with frenzied rock riffs and only displays flashy technique when necessary while implementing the creative use of various sound-modulating drum triggers. At the heart of the band lies Tucker McClung’s dominant slap-bass chops that captivates audiences and pumps the musical blood through the band.

The current incarnation of the ever-developing sound of Cycles reveals itself today as a staggering display of seemingly innocuous lyrics over purposeful compositions that only begin to mean more with time. Screaming peaks and balanced grooves find their way out of the chaos of a jam while samples ripped from anything between Prince, Missy Elliott, Chris Farley and Mortal Kombat movie quotes (and much more) ring out in the mix adding to the multicolored blend of sound filling a room and often standing out as comedic elements of the show. Drawing influence from artists such as Rage Against the Machine, J. Dilla, Primus, Weather Report, and many more, Cycles fuse an eclectic blend of genres to produce an original sound that has become harder and harder to find. Although only a few years old, Cycles have over 250 shows under their belt with tours extending across the entire U.S. A heavy touring schedule keeps them on their toes while providing the inspiration to continue to write and always strive to play better. Look out for their name soon on a festival schedule in your hands or a club marquee playing with your favorite bands.
Philthy
Introducing PHILTHY. Former member of Prince and the New Power Generation, Philip Lassiter is a household name in the music industry and 7 time Grammy award winning arranger. To attempt to truly define the bombastic brilliance of this jazz trumpeter turned singer-songwriter would be like trying to catch a bear with a mousetrap. A multi-faceted, multi-instrumentalist, Philthy's piano is his pulpit as he commands the stage with the bravado of a revolutionary. With the best backing band in Los Angeles as his army, it’s an invasion of the senses that leaves your body aching for more and your feet tapping the beat for days to come.
Traversing America introduced Philthy to a cavalcade of artists who would help shape his musical career. Aged 6 he unwittingly met his first love - the piano - and began belting out Amazing Grace like no other kid in Mobile, Alabama. Being the son of a preacher - a man “who sweated every ounce until he was red in the face” - Philthy learned how to captivate an audience and he’s taken that spirit on his own unique mission ever since.
Two decades of gospel, soul, R&B, funk, jazz and salsa sounds were colliding ideas inside Philthy’s brilliantly twisted mind like a tornado fighting a hurricane. 8 years in Dallas, TX were to bring these inspirations to life, under the wing of some of the most talented cats on the planet. Bernard Wright, Bobby Sparks, Keith Anderson and so many others messed up his mind in the best possible way, as his talents opened new doors in a crazy musical wonderland. As an arranger with multi-platinum artists including Kirk Franklin, Ariana Grande, Fantasia, Kelly Rowland, Jill Scott, Fred Hammond, Al Jarreau, Anthony Hamilton, Ledisi, Regina Belle and Timbaland, Philthy scooped 7 Grammy Awards and gained due respect as one of the premier horn section arrangers in the business.
Philthy has been imbued with the soul of a musical saviour and the manic energy of a deliciously decadent devil. With the humor and lyrical flow of Slim Shady before the music biz ate him up, Philthy could be the lovechild of Andre 3000 and Aretha Franklin, with James Brown laying down the blessing. He gives his life to bring music to yours. He’s been given a gift and wants you to share in it. This party’s just getting started…
The O'My's
The O'My's
Comprised of two gifted musicians, The O’My’s channel their experiences and perspective into gritty, polished music that grabs listeners with its sound, and holds them with its content. Nick Hennessey and Maceo Vidal-Haymes, two Chicago natives, man the keys and guitar respectively, with Maceo handling vocal duties. Maceo, a master writer, pens all lyrics himself, leading to emotion laden songs that resonate deeply with listeners. Constantly evolving with their sound, the duo have grown and progressed with each one of their four projects currently released, pushing their boundaries and challenging themselves with each release, and their forthcoming album is no different.
